Yale (formerly Chubb) 8K116 Locking Bolt

The Yale 8K116 is an easy to use, surface mounted security bolt. It is a simple and convenient way to improve the security of almost any door, particularly vulnerable back doors. It complies with insurance regulations which require key operated locking bolts on the top and bottom on rear doors, and is suitable for use on almost all types of door, including sliding patio doors, conventional hinged doors, aluminium doors and wooden doors.

Unlike many morticed security bolts, the Yale 8K116 bolt can be fitted without the need to remove significant timber from the door, or unhang the door when fitting to rebated doors. The 8K116 can be fitted to operate either horizontally or vertically.
